KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of commercial experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the traders in building supply/demand models
  • Supporting traders in structuring the trading books
  • Doing fundamental and policy research and analyzing statistics

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 0-2 years of experience as a trader/analyst/researcher

ROLE OF A TRADER/PORTFOLIO MANAGER

As a Trader/Portfolio manager at STX, you will manage your own portfolio leveraging our balance sheet to explore and profit from trading opportunities within the renewable energy spectrum by combining quantitative analysis with qualitative market insights. You will act as the main contact for our sales-traders who, in turn, are in direct contact with our counterparties. We are currently looking to expand with a Trader/Portfolio manager to strengthen our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generating revenue by managing and optimizing positions in a portfolio of products
  • Pricing of Guarantees of Origin
  • Manage trading books and portfolio’s yourself
  • Managing trade, counterparty and contract risk in line with broader strategy
  • Continuously improve our systems and processes together with IT
  • Doing research and analyzing data to make better trading decisions
  • Manage a portfolio of full offtakes where STX has volume risk

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-6 years of experience in a trading company as a trader/portfolio manager
  • Finished Bachelor or Master in preferably an economical, econometrical, mathematical or any quantitative study
  • Highly skilled in using Excel and VBA. Python and SQL are a plus
  • Previous experience in structuring PPAs or complex offtake agreements are a plus
  • Strong analytical skills combined with strong social skills
  • A proactive problem-solving nature
  • Team player
  • Living in or able to move to Amsterdam
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are welcome

ROLE OF A SALES TRADER

As a Senior Sales Trader, you play an important role in driving the business forward. In this highly competitive market, you’ll constantly engage with prospective clients to fully grasp their needs, and apply strategic thinking to tailor-make solutions that cater to these requirements. This role entails exposure to a broad spectrum of professionals at all levels, as well as to companies from various industries and markets. By working strategically to offer clients sustainable solutions, you genuinely help them move forward towards a greener future.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing sourcing and trading strategies for the Spanish renewable energy markets.
  • Expanding our existing customer portfolio by identifying and following up on new leads.
  • Proposing new deal structures complying with market’s requirements and negotiate structured agreements with customers and producers
  • Analyzing data and conducting research on the Spanish environmental certificates market
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and main point of contact to new and existing clients
  • Building strong relationships with key counterparties

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years of working experience within a sales, trading, business development or account management role in the Spanish Market
  • Exposure to utilities, energy or green markets
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
  • Fluent Spanish speaker in a business level, and fluen
  • Essential commercial and entrepreneurial attitude
  • Analytical and strategic thinking to effectively conduct research and analysis
  • Attentive and empathetic approach
  • Collaborative work style
  • Living or open to relocate to (the area of) Amsterdam

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building your own customer portfolio
  • Becoming the main information source for your customer portfolio
  • Matching buyers with sellers and propose (new) deal structures
  • Closing deals!

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 – 3 years of commercial experience, e.g. sales, consulting and/or trading
  • Fluent German speaker and fluent in English at a business level
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business studies, e.g. finance, economics and/or entrepreneurship
  • Affinity with financial products and trading
  • Strong commercial drive and a proactive attitude
  • Living or open to relocate to Amsterdam
