Human Resource Generalist

We’re looking for a HR Generalist to join our business and the extremely dynamic market we operate in, and to embark on a journey with us towards a better tomorrow. 


STX Group is successfully expanding its global operations with significant contribution from the Operations functions including the IT, HR, Mid-Office, Risk, Finance, Legal and Compliance teams. Comprising of over 60 professionals globally, these teams collectively provide a strong foundation for STX Group to reach its growth strategy by ensuring trades are processed smoothly and the company is run efficiently and effectively. Our Operations function is fast-growing as a result of both the rapid growth of the business, as well as growing complexity. 

Our team in the US is similarly fast growing and we are at the start of building our HR department. This is an excellent opportunity for an inventive people player who wants to be part of it from the start and roll up their sleeves to execute a full range of people topics from strategy to program design to real hands-on problem-solving/execution in an international environment. 


  • Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts, letters, and policies
  • Answer employee’s queries about all HR-related issues
  • Organization and maintenance of personnel records
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help plan training program
  • Support in establishing regular feedback cycles and help organize the annual performance review
  • Partner effectively with other teams such as Talent Acquisition, our global HR team, as well as our team leads
  • Use data to help influence change and recommend improvements to the employee experience and guide our team leaders
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, and organizing team building activities
  • Together with the global HR Team, determine, implement, and execute (part of) the people strategy and roadmap, and ensure it is aligned with STX Group business objectives
  • Drive cross-functional people projects and initiatives as needed


  • BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field
  • Additional Human Resources training will be a plus
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience within a global and dynamic environment, have experience in different sorts of employee cases
  • Understanding of general HR policies and procedures
  • Experience in all facets of HR – both designing programs as executing them, including facilitating team sessions, working on projects like performance management, succession planning, and culture
  • Knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of New York labor and social laws (preferably also other states)
  • You are a natural people person, great communicator, and have experience in how to get the best out of people
  • You are a self-starter and have a proven track record of rapid self-learning. You love to challenge the status quo to build the best experience for employees
