Guarantees of Origin

Today, companies are constantly urged to drastically reduce their carbon footprint. By trading in a wide variety of renewable energy products, STX enables businesses to achieve this goal. In doing so, we contribute to a more transparent environmental commodities market and, therefore, a greener world. We’re looking for a Renewable Energy Trading Analyst – Guarantees of Origin to join our business and the extremely dynamic market we operate in, and to embark on a journey with us towards a better tomorrow.

Turning opportunities into solutions – that’s the specialty of STX’s Front Office. Our team works across various domains, including electricity, renewable gas, carbon offsets, biofuels, and energy efficiency. We engage with clients in different markets and countries on a daily basis, and it’s our job to understand their needs and translate them into effective, efficient solutions. To maintain STX’s position as market leader in the fast-changing environmental commodities field, we are continuously capitalizing on new opportunities and optimizing our offering.

“The Guarantee of Origin Desk is one of the larger in the company. As the GO product is a key tool for both suppliers and corporates to reach their renewable targets – The Trading Analysis team is a relatively new addition to our GO trading desk, established roughly a year ago. We are a small but dedicated team with a passion for trading and the energy sector. We enjoy the challenge of developing out-of-the-box solutions to make sense of the untransparent Guarantee of Origin market. Our team is responsible for understanding and forecasting the variables that drive the European Guarantees of Origin market and its prices by using a variety of analytical tools and methodologies to support the trading team and advise on strategic decisions. Over the past year, we have worked hard to establish a strong analysis foundation in the opaque and challenging GO trading environment and we are proud of what we have accomplished so far. We are excited to continue growing and evolving as a team. We value innovation, collaboration, and diversity, and are looking for talented individuals to join us on this journey.” Mathijs Huls, Team lead – Guarantees of Origin Analysis
