We’re looking for a pro-active, analytical, and ambitious Technology Support Engineer who loves to work – and play – hard to join our Technology Team at STX Group’s headquarters in Amsterdam.

The ideal candidate is not only fluent in English, but who is also very excited about the idea of supporting our Amsterdam, Sweden, Singapore, and the US based offices as well as other offices, and to embark on a journey with us towards a better tomorrow.

ABOUT OPERATIONS

The operations function forms the backbone of any company. At STX, the Operations team, which comprises of Technology, Trade Operations, Risk, Finance and Human Resources, works closely with all other teams and desks to ensure that STX continues to perform and deliver at an exceptionally high level. As a critical partner in the business, Operations also guarantees compliance with all the relevant rules and regulations. Moreover, the Operations team works collaboratively to make sure that STX has the necessary structures and processes in place to grow and develop further in new products, industries and markets. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of incidents and requests, including interactions with external providers
  • Provide help to new joiners and existing staff members with support requests
  • Responsible for managing and maintain accurate logs on support requests and IT assist lists
  • Within a team, responsible for providing first line and second line support to all users on a day to day basis
  • Work closely with the stakeholders in new and on-going initiatives and projects
  • Configuration and maintenance of software, hardware, network, phone, print or telecommunication
  • Managing and maintain accurate logs on support requests and IT assist lists

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive knowledge and problem solving ability with Microsoft Office365 and Windows, Azure, Linux/Unix, SQL
  • Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:,Powershell or Bash
  • BSc degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Computer programming and scripting skills are an advantage
  • Understanding of networking and telecom is advantageous
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following is a plus: SQL, PHP, Python
  • Affinity with the financial markets sector is desirable, but not essential
  • Living in the Netherlands
  • Fluent in English (additional other languages are a plus)
